- Attach the mounting bracket to the chosen surface using the provided screws and anchor plugs.
- Install a new 9V DC battery into the battery compartment of the smoke alarm.
- Align the smoke alarm with the mounting bracket and twist it clockwise until it clicks securely into place.
- Test the alarm using the test button to ensure it is functioning correctly.
Compatibility:
This smoke alarm is designed for home use and does not require any electrical wiring or network connection. It operates independently.
Care:
- Battery Replacement: Replace the 9V DC battery every 5 years, or when the low battery warning chirp sounds.
- Cleaning: Gently dust the exterior of the alarm with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or solvents, as they can damage the unit. Periodically vacuum the vents to prevent dust accumulation.
- Testing: Test the smoke alarm monthly using the test button to ensure it is working properly. The test button simulates smoke by activating the alarm and horn.
