FAQs

Is this ball ready to use immediately out of the box?

What size is the Nike Phantom Football?

This model is a standard size 5, which is the international standard for ages 12 and up.

Can this ball be used on turf surfaces?

Yes, the durable casing is designed to handle both natural grass and artificial turf training surfaces.

How do I ensure the bladder stays inflated for a long time?

Keep the valve clean, avoid over-inflation, and store the ball in a temperature-controlled environment when not in use.

Does this ball come with a pump or needle?

No, the ball is sold as a standalone item and does not include an inflation pump or needle.

Troubleshooting

The ball feels too hard or too soft

Check the recommended PSI stamped on the ball's surface and adjust the air pressure accordingly using a pump with a pressure gauge.

The ball loses air quickly

Ensure the valve is not clogged with debris and use a damp needle when inflating to create a better seal. If the problem persists, inspect the outer shell for any punctures.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High-contrast design improves visual tracking
Durable outer casing holds up well during daily training
Standard Size 5 makes it perfect for skill development
Reliable flight consistency for accurate passing drills

Cons

Delivered deflated, requiring an immediate air pump setup
No inflation needle included in the package
Primarily designed for training rather than professional match play

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The football is shipped fully deflated. You will need a standard ball pump with a needle attachment. When inflating, ensure you moisten the needle with a drop of silicone oil or water to protect the valve. Do not over-inflate; refer to the recommended PSI printed near the valve on the ball.

Care: To extend the life of your ball, clean it with a soft, damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and debris. Avoid leaving the ball in extremely hot or cold temperatures for extended periods, as this can impact the rubber bladder's elasticity. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
