Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation:
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from grease or loose material. Lightly sand glossy surfaces to improve adhesion. Frenchic Wall Paint is self-priming, so no separate primer is typically needed.
Application:
Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply with a good quality brush or roller. For best results, apply two thin, even coats, allowing adequate drying time between coats (typically 2-4 hours, but refer to tin for specific times). Allow the paint to cure fully (around 7-14 days) to achieve its maximum scrubbable properties.
Compatibility:
Suitable for interior walls and ceilings. Also compatible with:
- Wooden furniture
- Interior woodwork (skirting boards, door frames)
- Wooden floors
- Kitchen cupboards
- Metal (e.g., powder-coated radiators)
- Interior uPVC
- Ceramic wall tiles (excluding very wet areas like shower enclosures or bath surrounds).
Care:
Clean spills and marks promptly. For general cleaning, use a soft, damp cloth. For tougher stains, a mild detergent can be used. The paint is fully scrubbable once cured, achieving an ISO11998 Class 1 Wet Scrub rating. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive scrubbing, especially before the paint has fully cured.
