Scientific Anglers Amplitude Smooth Trout GP Floating Fly Line - WF7

WF7 stands for Weight Forward, line size 7. This indicates the taper and weight distribution of the fly line, designed to be matched with fly rods rated for a size 7 line.

While the line is exceptionally durable, it is specifically designed and optimized for freshwater trout fishing. Using it in saltwater may affect its long-term performance.

Rinse the line thoroughly with fresh water after each use. For deeper cleaning, use a mild soap solution and a soft cloth, then rinse again and allow to air dry.

The primary advantages are significantly reduced drag (up to five times less) and greatly increased durability (eight times more) compared to traditional lines, leading to better casting and longer line life.

For optimal performance, it is highly recommended to match the line weight to the rod's rating. Using a different weight may result in suboptimal casting and rod action.

The smooth coating reduces friction as the line passes through rod guides, resulting in quieter casts, easier line retrieval, and better overall line management on the water.

Ensure the line is clean; dirt and algae can impede flotation. Apply a line dressing designed to enhance buoyancy.

Verify the line weight is appropriate for your rod. Check for any memory coils or kinks in the line that may need to be straightened.

Inspect line guides on your rod for any rough spots or damage that could be abrading the line. Store the line properly when not in use.
