Setup, Compatibility & Care
For the best results, plant your bulbs in autumn when the soil is cool but workable. Choose a site with fertile, well-drained soil that receives full sun or partial shade.
- Preparation: Dig a hole or trench to a depth roughly three to four times the height of the individual bulb.
- Spacing: Place each bulb approximately 8-10 cm apart to allow for proper airflow and root development.
- Planting: Ensure the pointed end of the bulb is facing upward, cover with soil, and firm it down gently.
- Watering: Water the area thoroughly immediately after planting to encourage strong establishment.
- Maintenance: Leave the foliage to die back naturally after flowering; this allows the bulbs to store the energy needed to bloom again the following year.
