Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Unroll the carpet runner carefully. Ensure the area where it will be placed is clean and dry. Position the runner to ensure it lies flat. The latex gel backing will grip hard floors once weight is applied.
Compatibility: This runner is primarily designed for use on hard floor surfaces such as tile, laminate, wood, and vinyl. The non-slip latex gel backing performs best on these materials. It is not recommended for use on fitted carpets or shag carpets, as the backing may not grip effectively and could potentially snag fibres.
Care:
- Vacuuming: Regularly vacuum the runner on a medium setting. For tougher debris, use a nozzle attachment. Avoid using a vacuum with a rotating beater bar on very high settings, as this could potentially snag loops over time.
- Spot Cleaning: For spills, act quickly. Blot the affected area immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For stains, use a mild detergent mixed with water and a damp cloth. Blot gently, do not rub. Rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth and allow to air dry completely.
- Deep Cleaning: For general freshening, a light spray of water and mild carpet cleaner can be used, followed by blotting and air drying. Avoid over-wetting the runner, especially the backing.
- Professional Cleaning: If significant soiling occurs, professional carpet cleaning is recommended, specifying the synthetic polyamide material.
