Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack all alarms from the bundle.
- Decide on the optimal mounting locations for each alarm (typically on ceilings or high on walls, away from direct sources of steam or dust).
- Use the provided adhesive pads for a quick fix, or screws for a more permanent installation.
- Power on each alarm by inserting the battery if required (for some models) or by pressing a power button. The alarms should automatically attempt to link with each other within range.
- Test each alarm by pressing the test button to ensure all linked alarms sound.
Compatibility:
This bundle is designed to work with other WISUALARM wireless networked alarms. Up to 24 units can be linked together. It is compliant with BS EN14604:2005 and BS 5446-2:2003, meeting safety regulations for Scotland and England.
Care:
- Regularly test all alarms monthly by pressing the test button.
- Keep the alarms clean by gently dusting them with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or cleaning sprays, as they can damage the sensors.
- Ensure the area around the alarms is free from dust and cobwebs, which can obstruct sensor vents.
