Use a mallet to aid insertion. If the ground is extremely hard, consider pre-drilling a pilot hole or selecting an alternative pegging point.

Ensure the pegs are inserted at the correct angle. Avoid hammering directly on the peg head; use a mallet and tap gently. Consider the ground type; avoid areas with large rocks.

Check the angle of the pegs and the tension of the guy lines. Use multiple pegs or a different pegging technique in high-wind conditions.
