Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Select the appropriate rivet size for the material thickness you are joining.
- Drill a hole through the materials to be joined, ensuring the hole diameter matches the rivet's recommended size.
- Insert the rivet through the aligned holes.
- Using a rivet gun (manual or pneumatic), pull the mandrel until it snaps off, securing the materials.
Compatibility:
These rivets are designed for joining metals such as steel, aluminum, and brass. They are compatible with standard rivet guns that accommodate 6.0mm rivets. Ensure the materials being joined can withstand the clamping force applied during riveting.
Care:
These rivets are generally maintenance-free once installed. For applications in corrosive environments, consider using protective coatings or sealants around the riveted joint if extreme longevity is required. Inspect joints periodically for any signs of stress or corrosion.
