These firebricks reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and are very durable. By lining the inside of the firebox with firebricks, heat is reflected back into the firebox, reducing heat loss and increasing heating. Coalsavers are ideal for reducing the size of the firebed. This set includes two side Coalsavers and one back-brick, made from quality fireclay. They help prevent coal, logs, and other fuels from falling out the front of your fire and tipping over your fret. This serves as an important safety measure, especially for fires that may be left unattended. It also helps to make the most of your fuel and fire. Universal Reversible Side and Back bricks fit most grates and wood burners. A range of sizes is available to fit fireplaces from 14 to 20 inches; please check the size before ordering. A refractory brick is built primarily to withstand high temperatures and generally has low thermal conductivity for greater energy efficiency.
