The Knipex 02 06 Series High Leverage Combination Pliers are fitted with multi-component grips. They are VDE tested up to 10,000V and safe for work up to 1,000V, conforming to DIN EN / IEC 60900. These pliers require 35% less effort than conventional combination pliers, providing easier cutting, powerful gripping, bending, and pulling due to optimised leverage. Made from high-grade special tool steel, they are forged and multi-stage oil-hardened with a chrome-plated finish. They feature long cutting edges for thicker cables and gripping zones for flat and round material, making them suitable for versatile use. The cutting edges have a hardness of approximately 63 HRC, suitable for soft and hard wire, as well as piano wire. Specific cutting capacities for the 02 06 225 model include: Piano wire: 2.5mm, Hard wire: 3.0mm, and Multi-strand copper cable: 14.0mm (or 25.0 mm²). The pliers themselves are chrome-plated, with insulated handles featuring multi-component grips, and are VDE-tested. They weigh 425g and have dimensions of 225 x 58 x 29 mm. They comply with DIN ISO 5746, DIN EN 60900, and IEC 60900 standards. The package includes one 02 06 225 VDE High Leverage Combination Pliers measuring 225mm.
