FAQs

What tools do I need to cut the mouldings?

You'll need a saw (hand saw or miter saw) for cutting the mouldings to size, a measuring tape, and a pencil.

Can I use these mouldings outdoors?

While the pine is durable, it is best suited for indoor use. Outdoor applications require more weather-resistant materials and treatments.

How do I attach the mouldings to the frame?

You can use small nails, wood glue, or a combination of both. Pre-drilling pilot holes is recommended to prevent splitting.

Can I paint the mouldings?

Yes, the planed finish is designed to accept paint, oil, varnish, or stain. Ensure the surface is prepared properly before applying the finish.

What is the length of each moulding?

Each moulding is 1200mm (1.2 meters) long.

What are the dimensions of the moulding?

The cross-section is 9mm x 9mm.

Are these mouldings pre-finished?

No, they have a planed finish, ready for your choice of paint, stain, oil, or varnish.

How many mouldings come in a pack?

There are 10 mouldings in a pack.

Troubleshooting

Mouldings don't fit properly.

Double-check measurements and ensure accurate cuts. You may need to adjust the cuts slightly for a perfect fit.

Finish doesn't adhere well.

Ensure the surface is clean and lightly sanded before applying paint or stain. Use a primer for better adhesion.

Mouldings split during installation.

Pre-drill pilot holes before nailing to prevent splitting. Use a hammer carefully to avoid excessive force.
