The CL-1.2 is an excellent all-round lubricant for everyday use. While it offers good protection, it may not outperform highly specialized lubes in extremely wet or very dusty conditions. For such extremes, consider a lube specifically designed for those environments.
This depends on your riding conditions. For dry, moderate conditions, reapplication every 100-150 miles is often sufficient. After riding in rain or mud, it's best to clean and reapply immediately.
CL-1.2 is specifically designed for the bicycle chain. While it may get onto derailleur components during application, its primary function and formulation are for the chain itself.
PTFE is a common lubricant additive. The CL-1.2 has been reformulated without it to be more environmentally friendly. It still provides excellent lubrication, friction reduction, and protection, maintaining the high performance expected from Park Tool products.
