Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Montreux trumpet remains in peak condition, follow these maintenance practices. When assembling the instrument, apply a small amount of slide grease to the tuning slides to ensure they move smoothly. Regularly oil the stainless steel valves by unscrewing the caps, adding a few drops of high-quality valve oil, and working them up and down. After each playing session, wipe the brass body down with a soft microfiber cloth to remove oils and moisture, which helps preserve the gold lacquer finish. Always store the instrument in its moulded hard case when not in use to protect it from temperature fluctuations and physical impact.
