The 3M Cubitron 3 Fibre Discs are high-performance abrasives designed for fast, efficient material removal in medium to high-pressure grinding applications. These discs are engineered with re-engineered 3M precision-shaped grain, offering superior cutting speed, durability, and wear resistance. Compared to traditional fibre discs and depressed centre grinding wheels, they provide increased productivity and lower overall grinding costs. Optimised for use on stainless steel, mild steel, carbon steel, and heat-sensitive alloys, these discs feature a stiff fibre backing and a strong resin bond to withstand heavy-duty applications such as weld removal, bevelling, and robotic grinding processes. The 3M Roloc quick change system on select products allows for fast disc changes, maximising efficiency and minimising downtime. The revised 3M precision-shaped grain takes the legendary ablation power and durability of the 3M™ Cubitron™ high-performance abrasive to a whole new level. These product benefits enable higher productivity and lower total cost of ownership compared to other fiber and scrubbing discs when grinding construction and carbon steels. Up to 60% more material is removed from the 3M™ Cubitron™ II fiber disk 982C, 36+. The disc is characterized by a long service life and a high material removal over a wide contact pressure range. It is also designed to reduce hand-arm vibrations, increase throughput and to process more workpieces per disc when grinding with medium or Hohem contact pressure.
