Product Information

Full details

The Vevor Vacuum Suction Cup GPS-2 is designed for professional contractors, glaziers, and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable, high-capacity tool for handling smooth, non-porous materials like glass, tile, metal, and polished stone. Its primary strength lies in its 400 lbs lifting capacity and triple-seal mechanism, providing a secure grip for heavy lifting tasks. A notable caveat is that it is strictly intended for non-porous, smooth surfaces; it will not maintain suction on textured, rough, or porous materials, which could lead to accidental drops.

FAQs

Can I use this on wood or drywall?

No. The suction cup requires an airtight, non-porous surface. It will not stick to wood or drywall.

What does the red line on the plunger indicate?

The red line indicates that the vacuum pressure is low or that the seal has been compromised. If visible, you must re-pump the handle.

How do I clean the rubber pad?

Use a damp cloth and the included anti-static cloth. Avoid using harsh solvents that could degrade the rubber.

Does this work in freezing temperatures?

Yes, the device is designed to function in temperatures as low as -68°F.

What is the maximum lifting capacity?

The maximum capacity is 400 lbs when used correctly on a smooth, non-porous, and clean surface.

Are the suction cups meant for long-term storage?

No, they are for lifting and moving materials only. Do not leave the suction cup attached to a surface for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

Suction cup loses hold quickly

Clean the rubber pad and the surface area thoroughly, then ensure the surface is perfectly smooth and non-porous.

Plunger is hard to pump

Apply a light amount of silicone-based lubricant to the plunger mechanism if it becomes stiff over time.

Red warning line is visible immediately after pumping

The surface may be too cold, porous, or dirty. Try moving to a different spot on the material or cleaning the area again.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High 400 lbs load capacity
  • Visible safety warning indicator
  • Works in extreme temperature conditions
  • Includes a durable storage case and accessories
  • Ergonomic handle design

Cons

  • Not suitable for porous or textured surfaces
  • Requires constant monitoring of the warning line
  • Requires smooth surfaces for proper adhesion

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Wipe the surface and the rubber suction pad with the included anti-static cloth to remove debris.
  2. Press the suction pad firmly against the material.
  3. Pump the plunger until the red indicator line is hidden.

Compatibility:

This tool is compatible with glass, ceramic tile, metal, polished stone, and hard plastics. It is not compatible with wood, drywall, concrete, or any porous/textured surface that allows air to leak through.

Care:

  • Always store the unit in the provided PP carrying case to prevent the rubber pads from deforming.
  • Keep the pads away from sharp edges or abrasive chemicals.
  • Periodically inspect the rubber seal for nicks or debris that could compromise the vacuum seal.
