This HDMI CAT5 + IR Extender supports 1080P resolution up to 50M and 480P up to 100M. It is ideal for long-distance signal transmission where direct HDMI cabling is not feasible. Unlike many other HDMI CAT5 devices, this extender features IR (infrared) eyes, allowing you to control connected equipment using your remote control via the receiver. The package includes a transmitter, a receiver, a power source (100-240V, 5V output used at the receiver), an instruction booklet, and two IR eyes (one for the transmitter and one for the receiver). To use, connect the transmitter to your source device (e.g., Blu-ray player) with an HDMI cable. Connect the receiver to an output device (e.g., HDTV) with another HDMI cable. The network cable can connect the transmitter and receiver up to 100 meters away and should be wired in the 568B format. Control of the source device is possible through the receiver using the IR eyes. This extender allows installers to leverage network cable for connecting HDMI devices over long distances, offering a cost-effective solution compared to long-haul HDMI cables which require extensive shielding and are expensive. Network cable is also thin, flexible, and easily installed through walls, and can be self-terminated for custom lengths.
