This Multi Purpose Powder Filler from Bartoline is specially formulated for repairs to plaster, plasterboard, wood, brick, stone, and most other building materials. It's ideal for preparing surfaces before painting or wallpapering and can be used to fill cracks and holes in walls, ceilings, and around door frames and skirting boards, providing a smooth surface perfect for finishing. The filler is easy to mix and simple to use, does not shrink, and has excellent adhesive properties. It can be easily sanded to create a surface that accepts nails and screws when set. It is suitable for exterior use, provided the filled area is sealed with paint or varnish when dry. For best results, brush out loose material and dust from the crack or hole to be filled. Moisten absorbent surfaces with water. Mix approximately 2.5 parts filler to 1 part cold water to a stiff paste; a thicker mix can be used for deep cracks/holes. Only mix an amount that can be used within 40 minutes. Apply filler with a trowel or filling tool, pressing firmly into the cavity and smoothing off slightly proud of the surface. After drying, rub down with sandpaper. The filler dries white and can be overpainted or papered without priming. When used outdoors, protect the filled area from rain and water during setting, then seal with an oil-based paint or varnish to protect from weathering.
