Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility:
Before installation, verify that your PC case has sufficient mounting space for a 240mm radiator (typically a top or front mount). Ensure your motherboard has the necessary CPU socket and fan headers (4-pin PWM for fans, 4-pin for pump, 3-pin for ARGB). The Antec Skeleton 240 supports a wide array of Intel sockets (LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1200, 1700, 1851, 2011, 2011-v3, 2066) and AMD sockets (AM3, AM4, AM5).
Installation:
- Mount the two 120mm fans onto the 240mm radiator using the provided screws.
- Prepare the CPU area by cleaning the existing thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol.
- Apply a small amount of the included thermal paste to the center of your CPU.
- Attach the appropriate mounting brackets to the pump for your CPU socket type.
- Secure the pump assembly onto the CPU and motherboard using the mounting hardware.
- Connect the fan cables to the motherboard's CPU_FAN header (or a dedicated fan controller).
- Connect the pump cable to the motherboard's PUMP_HEADER or AIO_PUMP header.
- Connect the ARGB cables from the fans and pump to the motherboard's ARGB header or a compatible controller.
Care:
- Dusting: Periodically clean the radiator fins and fan blades with compressed air to maintain optimal airflow and cooling efficiency. A soft brush can help dislodge stubborn dust.
- Cleaning: The pump head and radiator exterior can be wiped down with a dry or slightly damp microfiber cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Connections: Regularly check that all cable connections are secure to ensure proper function and lighting.
