The Aston Stealth is a cardioid, end-address microphone designed for both stage and studio use, excelling in applications from voice-over to gaming, live sound to high-end recording. It features four distinct voices, meticulously tested and refined by over 90 audio engineers and producers in blind listening tests, outperforming many of its competitors and even some more expensive industry standards. The microphone offers four unique settings: two vocal settings optimized for different vocal textures, a versatile guitar setting suitable for various guitar types, and a dark, vintage setting reminiscent of classic ribbon microphones. Unlike microphones that use pre-EQ filters which can hinder post-processing, Stealth provides four pure, high-quality signal paths. Its voice settings are not EQ filters but rather a slight attenuation with frequencies added back at a higher level, minimizing phase distortion. Stealth operates in both active and passive modes, with a unique 48V Autodetect function that automatically activates its built-in Class A mic preamp when phantom power is detected, eliminating the need for external gain lifting devices. It also features a switchable purple LED phantom power indicator, Aston's renowned build quality, and an integrated Sorbothane shock mount for excellent isolation. The sound profile was developed by 92 top audio professionals on the Aston 33 panel. It includes a quick-release stand mount.
