Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward but requires basic tools including a screwdriver and, ideally, a drill for pilot holes. First, position the stay on the bottom rail of the window sash to ensure it sits flush. Once the desired open angle is determined, mark the screw holes on both the sash and the window frame. Drill small pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting, then secure the stay using the provided screws. For maintenance, periodically inspect the screws to ensure they remain tight and wipe the metal surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth to keep the finish clean. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these may compromise the protective finish over time.
