Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setting Your Watch
- Set the Time: Pull the crown (the small knob on the side) out to the farthest position. Rotate the crown clockwise or counter-clockwise to move the hands to the correct time. Push the crown back in completely to start the watch.
- Set the Date: Pull the crown out to the middle position. Rotate the crown clockwise (or counter-clockwise, depending on the movement) to advance the date until the correct date is displayed. *Avoid setting the date between 9 PM and 3 AM, as this can interfere with the date change mechanism.* Push the crown back in completely.
Compatibility
This watch is designed as a standalone accessory and does not have electronic compatibility concerns. Its classic two-tone design makes it suitable for a wide range of personal styles and occasions, from business casual to evening wear. The 28mm case size is ideal for those who prefer a more understated or comfortable fit.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the case and bracelet with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For light grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used on the metal parts, but ensure no water enters the watch case. Avoid abrasive cleaners or chemicals.
- Water Resistance: While resistant to 50 meters, avoid exposing the watch to hot water, steam (e.g., showers, saunas), or prolonged immersion. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
- Impact: Protect your watch from hard knocks and impacts, which can damage the movement or external components.
- Chemicals: Keep the watch away from solvents, detergents, perfumes, and cosmetics, as these can damage the case, bracelet, and seals.
- Temperature Extremes: Avoid exposing the watch to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
- Battery Replacement: When the watch stops running, it indicates the battery needs replacement. This should be done by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and battery type. Sekonda recommends using an authorized service center.
- Storage: When not in use, store the watch in its original Sekonda box or a soft pouch to protect it from dust and scratches.
