Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Cleanse and Moisturize: Start with a clean, moisturized face. Hydrating your skin properly is crucial, especially for those with normal to dry skin, to ensure a smooth application and prevent any product from clinging to dry patches.
- Prime (Optional but Recommended): For extended wear or to address specific skin concerns (like large pores or excess oil), apply a primer before the foundation. This creates an even canvas and enhances longevity.
- Shade Matching: Ensure you've selected the correct shade (NW40 for neutral warm undertones). Test a small amount on your jawline in natural light to confirm it blends seamlessly with your skin.
Compatibility:
MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is generally compatible with most skin types. Its oil-controlling properties make it particularly suitable for oily and combination skin. For drier skin types, thorough hydration and potentially a hydrating primer are recommended to prevent a flat or overly matte appearance.
Care:
- Applicator Care: Regularly clean any brushes or sponges used for application. Dirty applicators can harbor bacteria and affect product performance. For the included sponge, gently wash with mild soap and water, then air dry completely.
- Product Storage: Store the compact in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to maintain its integrity and extend shelf life. Keep the compact tightly closed when not in use.
