Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
- Site Selection: Choose a location appropriate for your project's needs.
- Excavation: Dig a hole of sufficient depth for the post. A general guideline is to bury at least one-third of the post's length for stability.
- Post Placement: Position the post vertically in the hole.
- Securing: Backfill the hole with soil, tamping it down firmly around the post. For added stability, consider using gravel or concrete, especially in areas with soft soil or for more demanding applications.
- Attachment: Once secured, attach fencing, netting, or other desired materials to the post using appropriate fixings like screws, nails, or wire.
Compatibility:
This post is compatible with most standard fencing materials, netting, wire, and garden structures. It is designed for use in direct contact with soil and is suitable for outdoor environments.
Care:
While the HC4 treatment offers significant protection, occasional maintenance can extend the post's life further.
- Regularly inspect posts for any signs of wear or damage, especially at ground level.
- Keep the area around the base of the post clear of debris and excessive moisture.
- Consider applying a wood preservative or sealant annually for maximum protection, though this is often not necessary due to the existing treatment.
