The Jenolite Rust Converter Epoxy Spray in Black is designed for DIY enthusiasts and professionals tackling rusted metal surfaces. Its key benefit is the rapid conversion of rust into a stable, paintable layer, eliminating the need for extensive metal stripping. A potential consideration is the requirement to remove loose rust before application for optimal results.

The Jenolite Rust Converter Epoxy Spray chemically reacts with rust to convert it into a stable compound within approximately 15 minutes.
It is recommended to remove loose rust and scale before application for best results, but the product is designed to convert existing rust, not just prevent new rust.
Yes, the cured black surface can be left as is for a protective finish or can be painted over.
Once fully cured, the surface can be painted with most standard water-based and oil-based paints.
The approximate coverage is 2 square meters per 500ml can.
This product is specifically designed for ferrous metal surfaces (iron and steel) and is not recommended for aluminum or galvanized steel.
Yes, the product is effective on heavily pitted rust, converting it into a stable surface. Ensure loose rust is removed first.
Turn the can upside down and spray for a few seconds to clear the nozzle. If blockage persists, remove the nozzle and soak it in a suitable solvent, then rinse thoroughly.
Shake the can more frequently during use. Ensure the can is held at the correct distance and angle to the surface.
Ensure all loose rust has been removed and that the product is applied directly to the rusted surface. Check that the can has been shaken sufficiently.
Allow the rust converter to fully cure before applying paint. Ensure the painted surface is clean and free from contaminants.
Setup: Ensure the metal surface is free from grease, oil, and loose rust particles. Shake the can vigorously for at least two minutes before use.
Application: Hold the can approximately 15-25 cm from the surface and spray in even, sweeping motions. Apply a second coat if necessary after the first has begun to dry. Allow the treated area to cure completely, which typically takes around 15 minutes for rust conversion and longer for full curing before painting.
Compatibility: This product is ideal for ferrous metal surfaces (iron and steel). It acts as a primer and can be overpainted with most standard water-based and oil-based paints once fully cured.
Care: Store the can in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Ensure the nozzle is clear after use by inverting the can and spraying for a few seconds.
