FAQs

Does this tool work on all vehicles?

It is compatible with many Jeep, truck, and UTV/ATV bolt patterns, specifically 5x4.5, 5x5, 5x5.5, 6x5.5, 8x6.5, 8x170mm, and 4/156.

Can I use this for caster and camber adjustments?

No, these plates are specifically designed for measuring toe alignment only.

Is it easy to use by myself?

Yes, the anti-fall tape slots are specifically designed to allow one person to secure the tape and move around the vehicle to take measurements.

What happens if the tape measure breaks?

The plates use standard 5m tape measures, so you can easily source a replacement if needed.

Do I need any extra tools to mount the plates?

You will need your vehicle's lug nuts or similar fasteners to secure the plates onto the wheel studs.

Troubleshooting

Plates do not sit flush against the wheel

Ensure you are using the correct bolt pattern holes and check that there is no debris between the plate and the wheel hub.

Tape measure keeps slipping out of the slot

Ensure the tape measure hook is fully seated in the anti-fall slot before beginning the measurement process.

Measurements seem inconsistent

Verify the vehicle is on a perfectly flat surface and that the steering wheel is locked in the center position before measuring.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Before starting, ensure your vehicle is on level ground with the suspension settled. Select the bolt pattern on the plates that matches your vehicle's wheel hub. Secure the plates tightly to ensure they remain flush against the wheel. Compatibility covers most standard truck and SUV patterns, including 5, 6, and 8-lug configurations. To maintain the tool, wipe the stainless steel plates with a dry cloth after use to prevent debris buildup. Store the plates and tape measures in a dry location to protect the integrity of the measurements. Regularly check the tape measure hooks for any signs of bending that could lead to inaccurate readings.
