This StarTech.com USB to RS232 Serial Adapter Cable (1P3FPC-USB-SERIAL) allows you to connect an RS232 serial device to your computer via a USB connection. It features COM port retention, ensuring that serial port values are maintained in case of disconnection or reboot. The cable has a length of 1m for flexible positioning and supports data rates up to 921.6Kb/s. It is compatible with Windows 7/10/11, Server 2016/2019, Linux 4.15.x (LTS), and Mac OS 10.11-10.15, 11, 12. The adapter converts a USB 2.0 A Plug to an RS-232 Serial converter with a D Sub 9 Position Plug. It uses the PL230 chip type and is backed by a 2-year manufacturer warranty.
