McAlpine Shower Trap - STW1-R

The water seal prevents foul odours and sewer gases from entering your bathroom.

Remove the grid and clean out any hair or debris. You can use warm, soapy water.

The universal outlet is designed to connect to various waste pipe sizes. Check the specifications for exact sizes.

It is recommended to clean the trap regularly, ideally every few weeks or as needed, depending on usage.

Check all connections and tighten them. If the leak persists, you may need to replace the trap or the connecting pipes.

Avoid using harsh chemicals, as they may damage the plastic. Use mild soap and water instead.

The flow rate is 26 l/min with a 15mm head of water.

Replacement parts, such as a new grid, may be available from plumbing supply stores or online retailers.

Remove the grid and clear any blockages such as hair or soap scum. Ensure the waste pipe is not kinked or blocked further down the line.

Check the water seal. If the trap has dried out, flush water through it to re-establish the seal. Also, inspect for leaks around the connections.

Inspect all connections (shower tray to trap, trap to waste pipe). Tighten connections if loose. If leaks persist, check for damage to the trap or pipe fittings and replace as needed.
