Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Ensure the correct drill bit size is selected for the material and the hole size required. Insert the drill bit into the drill chuck, ensuring the 3-flat shank is securely held to prevent slippage.
Compatibility: Compatible with most standard drills. Always check the drill's specifications to ensure it is suitable for the bit's size and the material being drilled.
Care:
- Cooling: Allow the bit to cool down between uses, especially when drilling through hard materials. Avoid overheating the bit, as this can reduce its lifespan.
- Pressure: Apply even and consistent pressure during drilling. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the bit.
- Speed: Use the correct drill speed for the material. Higher speeds are often suitable for softer materials, while lower speeds are better for harder materials like stainless steel.
- Storage: Store the bits in the provided plastic cassette to protect them from damage and to keep them organized.
- Cleaning: Clean the bits after each use to remove any debris or material buildup. Use a soft brush or cloth.
