The Yonex BG65 Badminton String is designed for intermediate to advanced players seeking a durable and comfortable string with a soft feel. Its key benefit lies in its excellent durability and consistent performance, providing a reliable option for regular play. A potential caveat is that its soft feel may offer less crisp feedback for players who prefer a very taut stringbed.

The Yonex BG65 string has a gauge of 0.70mm (22 Gauge).
While durable and comfortable, beginners might benefit from exploring thinner strings for easier shuttle repulsion. However, its forgiving nature can also be advantageous for learning.
The set provides 10 meters of string, which is enough to restring one badminton racket.
It is well-suited for all-around play, offering a good balance of durability, comfort, and control, making it popular for both singles and doubles players.
The soft feeling absorbs shock upon impact, reducing stress on your arm and wrist, which can lead to less fatigue and a more comfortable playing experience, especially during long matches.
It is recommended to have badminton strings installed by a professional stringer to ensure accurate tension and proper installation, which affects performance and string longevity.
Thinner strings generally offer more repulsion and a crisper feel, while the 0.70mm BG65 prioritizes durability and a softer touch.
Ensure the string was tensioned correctly and that the racket grommets are not damaged. If the issue persists, consider if your playing style is excessively hard on the strings.
Proper stringing technique and using quality grommets can help maintain tension. Environmental factors like humidity can also affect tension; store rackets appropriately.
The BG65 is designed for a soft feel. If a crisper feel is desired, consider a thinner gauge string or a different string material. Ensure the string was installed at your preferred tension.
Setup: The Yonex BG65 string is designed for standard badminton racket stringing machines. It requires professional stringing to ensure proper tension and installation. Consult your local stringer or refer to racket manufacturer guidelines for recommended stringing tensions, typically ranging from 18 to 24 lbs.
Compatibility: This string is compatible with all standard badminton rackets. Its 10-meter length is sufficient for restringing a single racket.
Care: To maintain string performance, avoid exposing the racket to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Clean the strings gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth if necessary, avoiding abrasive cleaners. Regularly check string tension and condition; replace strings when signs of fraying or significant tension loss become apparent.
