Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before starting, ensure your workspace is well-ventilated due to the nature of the spirit-based solvent. Prepare your timber by sanding it progressively up to 180-220 grit for a smooth, absorbent surface. Always perform a test swatch on an inconspicuous area or a scrap piece of the same wood species to verify the color depth. For care, once the dye is fully cured, it is recommended to seal the wood with a compatible varnish, oil, or wax to protect the finish from moisture and UV damage. Keep the container tightly sealed when not in use to prevent the solvent from evaporating, which can alter the dye's consistency.
