Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up the Faithfull Professional Slate Cutter, ensure the blade is clean and free of debris. Position the slate or shingle against the cutting edge, aligning the cut line with the blade. Apply firm, even pressure to the handles to make the cut. For the integrated nail punch, position the slate and use a hammer to create the fixing holes.
This cutter is compatible with natural slate and fibre cement shingles. It's essential to use the cutter on appropriate materials only to prevent damage. Clean the blade after each use to maintain sharpness. Store the cutter in a dry place, and keep it locked when not in use.
To care for the cutter, regularly check the blade for wear and tear. If the blade becomes dull, it may need to be replaced. Ensure the moving parts are free of dirt and debris, and lubricate them periodically.
