Troubleshooting
Dock not recognized by computer
Ensure the Thunderbolt 4 cable is securely connected to both the dock and the computer. Try a different Thunderbolt 4 port on your computer if available. Restart both the computer and the dock (unplugging the power for 10 seconds). Confirm your computer supports Thunderbolt 4/3 or USB4.
Laptop not charging
Verify that the Thunderbolt 4 cable is securely connected and that it supports Power Delivery. Check if your laptop's charging port is compatible with USB PD. Ensure the dock's power adapter is properly connected and functioning. Your computer may require a firmware update for optimal Power Delivery.
No video output to monitor
Confirm the monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source. Check that the display cable (HDMI or Thunderbolt/USB-C for Thunderbolt monitors) is securely connected to both the dock and the monitor. Ensure your computer's operating system is configured to extend or duplicate displays. The maximum resolution and refresh rate supported depend on your computer's video output capabilities.
Slow Ethernet speeds
Ensure you are using a Cat 5e or better Ethernet cable. Verify that your network switch or router also supports 2.5Gb Ethernet for optimal speeds. If connected to a Gigabit Ethernet port on your network infrastructure, speeds will be limited to 1Gbps.
USB devices not working or disconnecting
Try connecting the USB device to a different USB port on the dock. Ensure the USB device is not drawing excessive power if connected to the front port. If bus-powered, check if the device is compatible with the 7.5W output of the USB ports. For high-bandwidth devices, use a direct Thunderbolt peripheral port if available.
SD card reader not functioning
Ensure the SD card is properly inserted into the slot. Try a different SD card to rule out a card issue. Clean the contacts on the SD card and inside the reader gently with a dry cloth. Restart the computer and dock.
