Setup, Compatibility & Care
Installation is straightforward: simply insert the RJ45 connector into any standard Ethernet port on your device. To ensure long-term performance, avoid bending the cable at sharp 90-degree angles, as this can damage the internal copper pairs. Keep the cable away from high-heat sources like power adapters or radiators. If you need to secure the cable along a wall, use adhesive-backed cable clips rather than staples, which can pierce the insulation and degrade signal quality. Note that while this cable is backward compatible with older network standards (like Cat6 or Cat5e), your network switch and device network interface must support Cat8 specifications to realize the full 40Gbps speed potential.
