Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your adidas Kaiser 5 Team trainers is straightforward:
- Lacing: Loosen the traditional centre lacing system. Insert your foot, ensuring your heel is comfortably seated at the back of the trainer.
- Adjust Fit: Begin tightening the laces from the bottom (toe) upwards, ensuring an even and snug fit without being too tight. Double-knot to secure.
- Break-In: Full grain leather may require a short break-in period to completely conform to your foot. Wear them for light activities or short training sessions initially.
Compatibility
These trainers are specifically designed for:
- Artificial Turf: Ideal for synthetic grass fields.
- Artificial Ground: Suitable for modern 3G/4G pitches.
- Hard Ground: Performs well on compacted dirt or asphalt surfaces.
They are not recommended for natural grass or soft, muddy ground, where specialized studs are required for optimal traction.
Care Instructions
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your leather trainers:
- Cleaning: After each use, wipe down the leather upper with a damp cloth to remove dirt and debris. For the sole, use a brush to clear any trapped turf particles or mud.
- Drying: Allow trainers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, as these can dry out and crack the leather.
- Leather Conditioning: Regularly apply a good quality leather conditioner or cream to keep the full grain leather soft, supple, and to prevent cracking. This is particularly important if they get wet frequently.
- Odor Control: Remove insoles to air out if needed. Use shoe deodorizers to prevent odors.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Consider using shoe trees to help maintain their shape.
