Tongue and Groove Router Bit Set - 2x, 1/4"" Shank

This set is designed for use with various wood materials, including solid woods, MDF, particle board, and plywood. It is not intended for use on metal or other non-wood materials.

The router bits in this set have a 1/4" shank.

The bits feature an anti-kickback design. Always ensure the workpiece is securely clamped, wear appropriate safety glasses, and maintain a consistent feed rate. Never force the bit through the material.

They are ideal for creating tongue and groove joints for drawers, doors, windows, cupboards, flooring, paneling, and general cabinetry work.

This is a value pack that includes two router bits.

After use, clean the bits with a soft brush to remove dust and resin. Use a wood-safe solvent if needed, and ensure they are thoroughly dry before storing them in their protective case.

They will work with any router that accepts a 1/4" shank bit and collet. Compatibility is confirmed with popular models from Bosch, Makita, and DeWalt.

Ensure the bit is sharp and free from resin buildup. Check router speed; a slower speed might be necessary for certain hardwoods. Verify the wood is securely clamped and that the feed rate is consistent.

Confirm the bit is securely seated in the collet and the collet is properly tightened. Check that the collet is not damaged or worn. Ensure the router motor is functioning correctly.

Double-check that the router depth setting is accurate and consistent. Ensure both the tongue and groove bits are properly aligned and that the router base is parallel to the workpiece. Consider a slight adjustment to the depth of cut if needed.

Reduce the feed rate or the depth of cut. Ensure the wood material is suitable for the bit and router. Allow the router to cool down periodically during extended use.
