Full details

Derwent Inktense Colour Blocks are incredibly versatile sticks of vibrant watercolour ink. Use them dry for covering large areas, or add water to bring them to life. Once dry, the colours are fixed, allowing you to work over them without dissolving previous layers. This permanency makes them ideal for fabric applications like silk, cotton, and canvas, as well as for printing and stamping. Create amazing artworks by using them dry and then blending with water, or apply water directly to the blocks. Combine multiple blocks before adding water to create instant stripes. You can also grate a block into water or shave off bits to use as a wash, or apply water to a block and shake for paint splatter effects. These blocks are highly pigmented, offering intense, ink-like effects that remain vibrant after drying. They are suitable for many porous surfaces including ceramic and wood.
