Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Rudbeckia thrives, select a planting site that receives full sun or partial shade.
- Preparation: Dig a hole twice the size of the 9cm pot and mix in some organic compost to increase soil fertility.
- Planting: Remove the plant from the pot gently, place it at the same depth it was in the nursery container, and firm the soil around the roots.
- Watering: Water thoroughly immediately after planting. Continue to water regularly during the first growing season until the root system is well-established.
- Care: In late winter or early spring, cut back the dead foliage to allow new green shoots to emerge.
- Soil: While it is versatile, it performs best in fertile, free-draining soil; avoid sites that remain waterlogged in winter.
