Use paints specifically designed for airbrushing. These paints are pre-thinned and formulated for optimal performance. Acrylic, enamel, and lacquer paints are common choices.

Disassemble the airbrush and clean each component separately. Use the appropriate cleaning solution for the paint type. Clean the nozzle, needle, and paint passages thoroughly. Rinse the parts with the cleaning solution and let them dry.

Start with a low air pressure (around 15-20 PSI) and adjust as needed. The ideal pressure depends on the paint, the nozzle size, and the desired effect.

While the airbrush can be used for small areas, it is optimized for detail work. For large areas, consider using a larger spray gun.

The double-action trigger controls both the air flow and the paint flow. Pressing down on the trigger releases air, while pulling back on the trigger releases the paint. This allows for precise control of paint application.

Check paint viscosity; it may be too thick. Thin the paint appropriately. Ensure the nozzle isn't clogged; clean it with the cleaning tools provided.

Adjust the air pressure. Too much pressure can cause splattering. Also, ensure the nozzle is clean and the paint is properly thinned.

Check all connections for leaks. Tighten the fittings as needed. Inspect the nozzle and needle for damage.
