Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
This brush requires no special setup beyond ensuring it is clean before first use. Some users prefer to gently flex the bristles to ensure they are free and unencumbered.
Compatibility:
- Paint Types: Compatible with all water-based (latex, acrylic) and oil-based (alkyd) paints.
- Surfaces: Suitable for use on drywall, wood, plaster, metal, and other common painting surfaces.
Care:
- Immediately after use: Scrape excess paint from the brush using a putty knife or the edge of a paint can.
- Water-based paints: Rinse thoroughly with warm water until all paint residue is removed. Use a mild soap if necessary.
- Oil-based paints: Clean with the appropriate mineral spirits or paint thinner. Work the solvent through the bristles until all paint is dissolved, then rinse.
- Shaping: After cleaning, gently reshape the bristles to their original form.
- Drying: Hang the brush bristles-down or lay it flat in a well-ventilated area to dry. Avoid resting it directly on the bristles.
- Storage: Store in a clean, dry place, preferably in its original packaging or a brush cover to protect the bristles.
