The Whites Chefs Skull Cap (Size L) is an essential piece of headwear for professional kitchen staff, designed to maintain hygiene while offering comfort during long shifts. Crafted from a breathable polycotton blend, it ensures that hair remains contained and perspiration is managed in high-heat environments. While the elasticated back provides a secure fit for most users, those with very specific sizing requirements may find the 'Large' designation provides a looser fit than expected depending on hair volume.
This specific variant is a size Large, featuring an elasticated back to accommodate various head sizes within that range.
Yes, the polycotton blend is specifically constructed to withstand the rigors of commercial laundering processes.
As with any white kitchen wear, it is prone to staining from food splashes; however, the material is durable enough to handle frequent, vigorous washing.
Yes, the skull cap is designed to contain hair effectively, though those with very long hair may need to tie it back before putting the cap on.
The lightweight polycotton fabric and white color help reflect heat and allow for better airflow compared to thicker hat materials.
Ensure the hair is tucked securely underneath the cap, which may provide more tension against the elastic band.
Avoid high-heat tumble drying; air drying the cap can help preserve the integrity of the elastic fibers.
To ensure the longevity of your Whites Chefs Skull Cap, always follow the care label instructions provided with the garment. Because the cap is made from a polycotton blend, it can be safely laundered in commercial machines alongside other kitchen whites. Avoid using harsh bleaching agents for extended periods, as this can degrade the elastic back over time. Before wearing, ensure the elastic is positioned comfortably at the nape of the neck to maintain a secure fit throughout your shift. The cap is designed to be fully compatible with standard chef uniform sets and is suitable for both male and female staff members.
