Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Set the Time: Gently pull out the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) to its outermost position.
- Rotate the crown to move the hands and set the correct time.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back in firmly against the watch case to start the movement and ensure water resistance.
Band Adjustment
The stainless steel bracelet comes with a deployment clasp and is sized to fit a standard wrist. If the band is too loose or too tight, it will need adjustment. Due to the design of the stainless steel links, it is highly recommended to have the band adjusted by a professional jeweler or watch technician. They have the specialized tools to safely remove or add links without damaging the watch.
Care and Maintenance
- Cleaning: To maintain its shine, clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For the stainless steel components, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose your watch to sudden temperature changes or extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold), as this can affect the battery life and the movement's accuracy.
- Magnetic Fields: Keep the watch away from strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, MRI machines, strong magnets) as they can temporarily affect the watch's accuracy.
- Battery Replacement: The quartz movement is powered by a battery. When the watch stops or begins to lose time consistently, it's time for a battery replacement. This should be done by a qualified watchmaker to ensure the case is properly sealed and water resistance is maintained.
- Storage: When not wearing the watch, store it in a dry, safe place, preferably in its original box or a soft pouch to protect it from dust and scratches.
