Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Purdy Chinex Elite brush, follow these professional maintenance practices:
- Pre-Wash: Before first use, gently fan the bristles to remove loose filaments.
- Cleaning: After using latex or low-VOC coatings, wash the brush in warm, soapy water. Use a Purdy wire brush comb to remove paint buildup from the base of the ferrule.
- Drying: Shake out excess water and hang the brush to dry by the handle hole to maintain bristle shape.
- Storage: Always store the brush in the original cardboard keeper to protect the bristles from bending and to maintain the 'chiseled' edge.
