Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the desired project surface has a suitable opening or method for attaching the finial. The 3/8" tenon diameter typically fits standard drill bits or pre-made holes.
- If necessary, sand the surface lightly for optimal adhesion.
- Apply your chosen finish (paint, stain, varnish) to the finial according to product instructions.
- Secure the finial using wood glue or appropriate fasteners for your project.
Compatibility:
This finial is compatible with most woodcraft projects requiring decorative caps or accents. It is suitable for birdhouses, clocks, small tables, chairs, and curtain rods. Note: It may be too small for applications requiring larger decorative spindles, such as some bedposts. Always check the dimensions (3-1/2" Overall Length; 3" Turned Length; 3/8" Tenon Diameter; 1-5/8" Maximum Diameter) against your project requirements.
Care:
Once finished and installed, the finial requires minimal care. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, especially if a painted or stained finish has been applied.
