Unika Worktop Adhesive - White

This Unika Worktop Adhesive is specifically formulated for bonding laminate edging to worktops. It is not recommended for general use on wood or metal, as adhesion and durability may be compromised.

The adhesive typically becomes tacky within 5-15 minutes, allowing for bonding. Full curing time varies depending on temperature, humidity, and application thickness, but usually takes 24-48 hours for maximum strength.

The adhesive is water-resistant once cured, making it suitable for kitchen and bathroom environments. However, it is not fully waterproof and should not be exposed to prolonged immersion in water.

Uncured adhesive can be wiped away immediately with a damp cloth. Once the adhesive has dried, it is much more difficult to remove and may require careful scraping or abrasion.

When stored correctly in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dry place, the adhesive typically has a shelf life of 12-18 months from the date of purchase.

It is best to clean off any excess uncured adhesive immediately. Once cured, painting over the adhesive is not recommended as it may affect the paint finish and the bond integrity.

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and appropriately prepared (e.g., lightly abraded if smooth). Verify the adhesive has been allowed to become tacky before joining surfaces. Check adhesive age; old adhesive may lose tackiness.

Reapply adhesive, ensuring even coverage and sufficient pressure during bonding. Allow adequate curing time. Ensure the worktop substrate is stable and not prone to moisture swelling.

Clean any uncured adhesive immediately with a damp cloth. If cured, gentle abrasion might remove minor residue, but caution is advised to avoid damaging the worktop finish.

Ensure the adhesive has not dried out in the container. Stir thoroughly. If significantly dried, it may be unusable. Check storage conditions; extreme cold can thicken water-based adhesives, but they should return to normal consistency when warmed.
