The TIMco Mixed Tray Set is an essential hardware collection for DIY enthusiasts, professional contractors, and hobbyists who require reliable, corrosion-resistant fasteners for assembly and maintenance projects. Featuring a versatile assortment of 199 hex-headed set screws, nuts, and washers, this kit provides a one-stop solution for various fastening tasks in outdoor or external environments. While the set is comprehensive, users should note that it is limited to specific metric sizes, so it may not cover non-standard or highly specialized industrial applications.

While highly resistant to corrosion, they are best suited for general exterior use. For direct saltwater immersion, consider specialized marine-grade stainless steel options.
The tray is designed to hold the 199 pieces provided. Individual replacement sizes may need to be sourced separately if a specific size is depleted.
Standard hex-head spanners or socket wrenches corresponding to the M6, M8, and M10 size range are required.
These are designed for general mechanical fastening and outdoor assembly; they are not intended for high-stress or high-heat structural applications.
The components are manufactured to provide a high level of corrosion resistance, typically utilizing plated steel suitable for exterior environments.
Yes, the set includes a range of set screw lengths within the M6, M8, and M10 categories to ensure you have the appropriate length for your assembly.
Verify that the thread pitch matches the bolt perfectly; do not force the fit if resistance is felt, as this can damage the threads.
Gently clean the surface with a soft, dry cloth or a mild specialized cleaner to remove dirt or industrial buildup.
Use a digital caliper to verify thread size if components are misplaced; sort by diameter (M6, M8, M10) first.
To ensure the longevity of your TIMco hardware, store the tray in a dry, covered area when not in use. While the fasteners are corrosion-resistant, regular cleaning of the tray compartments will prevent debris buildup and potential chemical contamination. When selecting fasteners, always ensure the thread pitch matches the intended application; M6, M8, and M10 sizes are standard but verify your machinery or project requirements before installation. When tightening, avoid excessive force beyond the recommended torque for the specific bolt diameter to prevent thread stripping. If the items are exposed to salt or harsh chemicals, a quick rinse with fresh water and thorough drying will help maintain the finish.
