Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, consult your motorcycle's service manual to find the manufacturer's specified float height. Ensure the carburettor is positioned on a level, stable surface. Place the gauge base against the gasket surface and align the sliding scale with the top of the float. Because this is a precision instrument, store it in a dry, protected area within your toolbox to avoid bending or damaging the scale markings. Keep the gauge free from debris or fuel gum, as these can affect the accuracy of the reading. Clean the tool after each use with a lint-free cloth and mild solvent if necessary.
