Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Compatibility:
The Makita D-03349 Circular Saw Blade is designed to fit various portable circular saws. It is explicitly compatible with the following Makita models:
- BSS611
- BS610
- BHS630
- DSS611
- DSS610
- DHS680
- 5604
Ensure your saw's arbor size matches the blade's internal diameter of 20mm. Always consult your saw's manual to confirm compatibility before installation.
Setup:
- Safety First: Ensure the saw is unplugged from the power source.
- Blade Guard: Retract or secure the blade guard to access the blade.
- Blade Replacement: Use the appropriate wrench to loosen the flange nut holding the old blade. Remove the old blade and install the new D-03349 blade, ensuring the rotation arrow on the blade matches the direction of saw rotation.
- Secure Flange Nut: Tighten the flange nut securely. Do not overtighten.
- Blade Guard Release: Release the blade guard to its functional position.
- Power Up: Plug the saw back in.
Care and Maintenance:
- Cleaning: After use, gently wipe the blade clean of sawdust and debris with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals.
- Storage: Store the blade in a dry place, away from moisture, to prevent rust. Consider using a blade case for protection.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the blade for any signs of damage, such as bent teeth, chips, or excessive wear. Replace the blade if any damage is observed.
- Sharpening: While made of durable cemented carbide, the blade will eventually dull. For optimal performance, consider professional sharpening if the blade shows signs of reduced cutting efficiency, though frequent sharpening is generally not required due to its construction.
