Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
When printing with Hahnemühle German Etching, it is recommended to:
- Consult your printer's manual for recommended paper settings for heavy weight, fine art papers.
- Select the appropriate media type in your printer driver, often corresponding to 'Fine Art' or 'Matte' settings.
- If available, choose a profile specifically for Hahnemühle German Etching for optimal color accuracy. If not, a generic fine art matte profile may suffice.
- Ensure your printer's paper path can accommodate the 310 gsm weight.
Compatibility:
This paper is compatible with most inkjet printers (dye and pigment-based) that can handle heavyweight papers. Always check your printer's specifications for maximum paper weight and thickness.
Care:
- Store the paper in its original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Handle prints by the edges to avoid transferring oils from your skin.
- Display prints framed under glass or acrylic to protect them from dust and environmental contaminants.
- The water-resistant coating provides some protection against accidental splashes, but prints should not be exposed to prolonged moisture.
