Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
The Artisan Plaster Wallpaper uses a paste-the-wall application method. This means you apply the paste directly to the wall rather than the wallpaper itself. Ensure you have the necessary tools: a pasting brush, a smoothing tool, a sharp knife or blade, a measuring tape, and a level.
- Prepare the Wall: Clean the wall surface, removing any dirt, grease, or loose paint. Fill any holes or cracks and sand smooth.
- Apply Paste: Apply wallpaper paste evenly to the wall, covering an area slightly larger than the width of one wallpaper strip.
- Apply Wallpaper: Align the first strip of wallpaper, ensuring it's straight using a level. Smooth it onto the wall, working from the top down, and remove any air bubbles.
- Trim Excess: Trim the top and bottom edges using a sharp blade and a straight edge.
Compatibility
This wallpaper is compatible with most standard wallpaper adhesives designed for paste-the-wall application.
Care
To clean the wallpaper, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Important Reminders
- Always turn off electricity when working near electrical outlets and fixtures.
- Make sure you have adequate ventilation while applying the wallpaper.
